Your enquiry details.

How Certisure uses information you provide when contacting us.

Who we are

Certisure EPC Ltd is the data controller for information used in our domestic EPC business. Contact us at ashish_tac@hotmail.com. Our registered office is 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU.

Information we collect

We may receive your name, contact details, property address or postcode, property and enquiry details, correspondence and access arrangements. If you become a customer, records may include assessment information, supporting photographs or documents, invoices and payment records. Information comes from you by telephone, email or WhatsApp, from someone arranging an assessment on your behalf, or during the assessment.

How the enquiry form works

The form prepares a message on your device and does not store completed entries in a website database or send an enquiry automatically. Opening the WhatsApp link passes the prepared details to WhatsApp to create your draft; you review and send it there. The email option prepares a draft in your email app. Certisure receives your enquiry when you send it.

Why we use information

We use information to answer enquiries, quote, arrange and carry out assessments, lodge EPCs, invoice and manage customer records.

Our UK GDPR lawful bases are:

Necessary sharing and communication services

Where needed, we share relevant information with Elmhurst Energy, the official EPC register, your authorised agent or property manager, and service providers supporting communications or records. Accountants, insurers, professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary. EPC property information becomes part of the official register.

WhatsApp and email providers process information under their own privacy policies when you use their services. Our Hotmail email is provided by Microsoft. WhatsApp and Microsoft may process information outside the UK; their policies explain locations and safeguards, including adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards, and how to obtain further information. See the WhatsApp UK privacy policy and Microsoft privacy statement.

How long we keep information

Retention depends on the record and its purpose. We keep enquiries and correspondence as needed to respond and manage any resulting work. Customer, assessment and invoice records are kept as needed for service delivery, accreditation requirements, legal and tax obligations, and relevant complaint or claim periods. We review whether information is still needed and delete or anonymise it when appropriate.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or, where applicable under UK data-protection law, transfer of your information. Rights may be limited where records must be retained.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent for any processing, you can withdraw it. Contact ashish_tac@hotmail.com to exercise your rights.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, whether or not you have contacted us first.
